A beautiful 1961 Chevrolet Impala! This is not your ordinary
1961. This car was purchased new in California, and spent the first 40
years of it's life in sunny, dry weather. In 1998, the Impala was
treated to a light cosmetic restoration. All original body panels are
present and accounted for! The original factory Turquoise paint is
absolutely beautiful, this car has ALL of it's original trim, including
grill, tail light bezels, side trim, etc.. Also present is the ORIGINAL
California front bumper, with an ORIGINAL California front bumper hood
release. It is very rare for a 1961 Impala to still have the original
trim. Also presentare the ORIGINAL fender mounted spotlights, which
operate flawlessly. The original 348, four barrel engine is present,
and was rebuilt when the car was freshened in 1998. The engine
compartment is highly detailed and correct. The original two speed
Powerglide transmission was replaced by a 3 speed Turbohydramatic
Automatic Transmission. This car runs and drives like a dream, with
everything working exactly as it should. The interior has been
restored, but most of the interior trim is ORIGINAL. The underside of
the car is clean, with the frame rails, trunk pan and floor pans
unrestored and rust free. All of the glass in the car is absolutely
ORIGINAL and in excellent condition. This is a beautiful, original 1961
Impala was imported into Australia early in 2008, It has been certified
and registered in Queensland As Left Hand Drive.
